Question 6

What is organic hair color?

Accepted Answer

Unlike traditional dyes that use harsh chemicals, our organic hair color is plant-based and free from ammonia and harsh chemicals. This means it's gentler on your scalp, less likely to cause irritation, and actually improves the health of your hair over time.

Question 7

Will organic color cover my gray hair?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Our Natulique organic color provides excellent gray coverage—often better than traditional dyes. The plant-based formula deposits rich, multi-dimensional color that blends grays beautifully and naturally.

Question 8

Is organic color safe during pregnancy?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Our Natulique organic color is one of the safest options available for pregnant and nursing mothers. Free from ammonia and harsh chemicals, it's gentle enough for sensitive individuals while still delivering beautiful results. However, we always recommend consulting with your doctor first.

Question 9

How long does organic color last?

Accepted Answer

Organic color typically lasts 4-6 weeks, similar to traditional color. However, because it's gentler on your hair, the color tends to fade more gracefully without the brassiness or harsh grow-out lines that chemical colors can leave.

Question 10

Can I switch from traditional color to organic?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Most clients can transition to organic color seamlessly. If you have heavily processed or chemically treated hair, we may recommend a consultation first to create a transition plan that ensures the best results for your specific hair.

Question 11

What exactly is balayage?

Accepted Answer

Balayage is a French word meaning 'to sweep.' It's a freehand highlighting technique where color is hand-painted onto the hair in sweeping motions. Unlike traditional foil highlights, balayage creates a soft, natural-looking gradient with no harsh lines.

Question 12

How is balayage different from traditional highlights?

Accepted Answer

Balayage is an advanced, free-hand painting technique. Unlike traditional foil highlights which can leave a harsh line of regrowth, balayage creates a soft, natural, 'lived-in' look that blends seamlessly with your natural color. The biggest benefit is the flawless, graceful grow-out.

Question 13

How long does balayage last?

Accepted Answer

One of the biggest benefits of balayage is its longevity. Because the highlights are painted to blend naturally with your base color, the grow-out is seamless and beautiful. Most clients can go 3-4 months between appointments, and some even longer.

Question 14

Can I get balayage on dark hair?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Balayage looks beautiful on all hair colors and types. For darker hair, we often do a gradual lightening process or use rich, warm tones that complement your natural color. Rachel specializes in creating stunning balayage on brunettes.

Question 15

What is a head spa treatment?

Accepted Answer

Think of it as a luxurious, multi-step facial, but for your scalp. Our Head Spa Experience is an immersive treatment from Japan that deeply cleanses, exfoliates, and nourishes the scalp using a high-powered micro-mist and organic serums. It addresses dandruff, dryness, oiliness, inflammation, and hair thinning.

Question 16

How often should I get a head spa treatment?

Accepted Answer

For best results, we recommend a head spa every 4-6 weeks. If you're addressing specific concerns like hair loss or severe dandruff, you may benefit from more frequent treatments initially.

Question 17

Is the head spa suitable for all hair types?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Whether you have fine, thick, curly, straight, color-treated, or natural hair, the head spa can be customized for you. We adjust our products and techniques based on your unique hair and scalp condition.

Question 18

Will a head spa help with hair loss?

Accepted Answer

Head spa treatments can significantly help with hair thinning and loss by improving scalp health, stimulating blood circulation, and unclogging hair follicles. Many clients notice reduced shedding and healthier new growth after consistent treatments.

Question 19

Can I get a head spa with color-treated hair?

Accepted Answer

Yes! In fact, head spa treatments can help maintain and extend the life of your color by keeping your scalp healthy and balanced. We recommend waiting at least 48 hours after coloring before your head spa appointment.
